	<answer label="Johnny Evers">2B, 1883-1947.  Deteriorating mental health affected both of these players.  Whittaker suffered from a nervous breakdown and extreme physical exhaustion while on the bench.  His doctor advised him to resign, which he did in 1962 after five years of service.  Evers played second base in the famous &#8220;Tinker to Evers to Chance&#8221; infield combination for the last Cub team to win the World Series.  A nervous breakdown forced him to miss the entire 1911 season.  Rather than retiring from the game, Evers bounced back the following year to have his best season at the plate, batting .341.</answer>
	<answer label="Joe Tinker">SS Mgr, 1880-1948.  Average at the plate, Tinker, along with his teammates, was one of the greatest performers and innovators on defense.</answer>
	<answer label="Frank Chance">1B Mgr, 1877-1924.  As a manager, he won over 100 games four times; selected to the Hall of Fame in 1946.</answer>
	<answer label="Harry Steinfeldt">3B, 1877-1914.  Steady infielder for the Cubs (and then Braves) who was omitted from Franklin P. Adams&#8217;s famous poem.</answer>
