Illinois, which invalidated a woman's right to practice law.  Meyerhoff was an advertising executive in Chicago who bought the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League for $10,000 from Philip Wrigley, the league's founder, after two years of the AAGPBL&#8217;s  existence.  At that point, Wrigley thought the league was a bad investment.  Meyerhoff worked hard to expand and publicize the AAGPBL, which helped to provide opportunities for women athletes to showcase their skills on the diamond.</answer>
