	<answer label="Phil Niekro">RHP, b. 1939.  These players were loyal organization men.  Vinson was a die-hard supporter of FDR and Truman, the former naming him to the US District Court for DC, and the latter appointing him Treasury Secretary and then Chief Justice.  Niekro&#8217;s performance on the field outshone Vinson&#8217;s on the bench, to be sure.  He was well-known and well-liked by fans for his loyalty to Atlanta, though, where he played for almost 20 years despite its consistently low position in the standings.  &#8220;Knucksie&#8221; won 318 games, and joined the Hall of Fame in 1997.</answer>
