	<answer label="Donnie Moore">RHP, 1954-1989.  Both of these men attempted suicide after experiencing failure on the field.  Rutledge was upset over Washington&#8217;s choice of Jay for Chief Justice in 1789.  He sat as an associate for two years before resigning, but then rejoined the Court in 1795 when Washington finally appointed him CJ.  The Senate failed to confirm him, which in part moved him to attempt suicide.  Moore succeeded in taking his own life less than a year after serving up a game winning home run in the 1986 LCS when one more strike would have given his California Angels the pennant.</answer>

	<answer label="Gene Mauch">2B SS Mgr, b. 1925.  His 1986 Angels were one strike away from the AL pennant, but ended up losing the series.</answer>
	<answer label="Gene Michael">SS 2B Mgr, b. 1938.  Ejected in his first game as a manager for the Cubs in 1986.</answer>
