<answer label="Gary Pettis">OF, b. 1982. One of the best defensive center fielders of the 1980s, when he won four Gold Gloves, but couldn’t hit to save his life.</answer>
<answer label="Yogi Berra">C OF Mgr, b. 1925. While Stewart’s career credentials don’t approach Berra’s on-the-field accomplishments, both of these players are well-known for their powers of observation. In Jacobelis v. Ohio (1964), Stewart admitted that he may not be able to define obscenity, but was sure that “I know it when I see it.” Was Stewart’s argument inspired by Berra? We’ll never know for sure if he had the Yankee catcher in mind. But the connection is plausible, given this bit of philosophy among the Yankee Hall of Famer’s collection of Yogi-isms: “You can observe a lot just by watching.”</answer>
