	<answer label="Guy Hecker">RHP 1B OF, 1856-1938.  These players had relatively short careers, but were incredible workhorses.  Woods wrote more opinions (159) than any other associate justice during his tenure, which lasted not even seven years.  Hecker is among the career leaders in complete games, with 310 lifetime, despite having only played from 1882-1890.  In one season, 1884, he went an amazing 52-20, completed 72 of 73 games he started, hurling a total of 670.2 innings!  Interestingly, he's also the only pitcher to have ever won a batting title.  Hecker accomplished that feat in 1886 when he hit .342.</answer>
