	<answer label="Dave Righetti">LHP, b. 1958.  Once hurled a no-hitter as a starter, but then became an effective stopper.</answer>
	<answer label="Ron Guidry">LHP, b. 1950.  Both had southern sympathies.  Guidry was known as "Louisiana Lightning," while Clifford favored the South in his rulings, even Guidry's home state in his most controversial decision, Johnson v. Dow (1879).  Both participated in famous duels, yet did not emerge victorious.  Clifford's most memorable moment was probably his showdown, while an attorney, with Daniel Webster in Luther v. Borden (1849).  The Taney Court passed on the key issues, though, leaving Clifford with a no-decision at best.  In 1979, Guidry once battled the famous Nolan Ryan in a 1-0 classic.  The Yankee surrendered only 4 hits, but lost.</answer>
