Scholars agree that Taney is one of the Court&#8217;s all-time greats, despite having authored the majority opinion in Dred Scott (1857), one of the sparks that helped to set off the Civil War.  Marichal was a consistent 20-game winner during the 1960s, and finished his career with a 2.89 ERA.  Few fans will forget the frightening image of him attacking Dodger catcher John Roseboro with his bat, starting one of the most vicious brawls in the game&#8217;s history.</answer>
