	<answer label="Garry Templeton">SS, b. 1956.  These players both sat out big games.  Moore didn&#8217;t participate in Marbury v. Madison. In fact, he wrote only a single opinion in his four years on the Court.  After retiring in 1804, though, he returned to his home state of North Carolina, where he helped to found that state&#8217;s flagship public university.  Templeton, whose career performance peaked on St. Louis&#8217; artificial turf, uttered the oft quoted &#8220;If I ain&#8217;t startin&#8217;, I ain&#8217;t departin&#8217;&#8221; to explain why he would skip the 1979 All-Star game.  Fans had voted Philadelphia shortstop Larry Bowa into the starting position.</answer>
