Overview

Paul Strain has been a litigator for over 30 years concentrating on litigation involving products and issues of technology and science. He has appeared on behalf of significant American corporations in federal or state courts in more than two dozen states and the District of Columbia. He has been the chief litigator for the State of Maryland, the head of Venable’s litigation practice, and the chief litigator for clients in intellectual property, product liability, and complex commercial litigation, including commercial fraud. He is currently national or regional counsel for three pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in litigation involving six different drugs and devices.

Among Mr. Strain’s clients are: pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and automobile and other manufacturers. He divides his time between offices in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.
