Biography: 

Jeff Sarles is co-chair of the appellate and Supreme Court practice at Mayer Brown, and is the Seventh Circuit editor of the American Bar Association's Journal of Appellate Practice. He has briefed and argued numerous appeals in federal and state courts throughout the country and has especially strong experience in matters involving antitrust, arbitration, class action, employment, local government, telecommunications, ERISA, and property rights issues. Jeff is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Northwestern University, where he teaches a seminar in arbitration law. He has published numerous articles, including (with Tim Bishop) Petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court for Certiorari: A Primer.

Jeff is a 1994 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. He has a B.A. from Wesleyan University, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. with high honors in history from the University of Chicago.
