Overview
Kevin K. Russell is a partner in Howe & Russell, P.C., as well as an instructor in the Stanford University Law School Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and the Harvard Law School Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. He served as a law clerk to Justice Stephen G. Breyer and to Judge William A. Norris of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Before leaving for private practice, Mr. Russell was an attorney in the Appellate Section of the Civil Rights Division at the United States Department of Justice. He is a graduate of the Yale Law School.
Mr. Russell has served as counsel or co-counsel in a number of cases in the Supreme Court over the past several years, including Ledbetter v. Goodyear, Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, Marshall v. Marshall, Wilkie v. Robbins, and Tum v. Barber Foods. He also frequently represents various organizations in filing amicus briefs before the Court.
