Graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School. Law Clerk to Chief Justice, Alaska Supreme Court 1974-75. Assistant Attorney General, State of Alaska 1975-1990. Private practice since 1990, emphasizing civil rights, employee rights, environmental law and Native American law. Practice at all levels of federal and state courts. Drafted merits briefs and amicus briefs in numerous cases in U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, and Alaska Supreme Court.
