Overview
[p]John Lowe holds an engineering degree from Lehigh University and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He was a trial lawyer in general practice for 25 years, appearing in cases in over 10 states before joining the intellectual property law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, L.L.P. in Washington, D.C., in 1992, where he was a partner specializing in patent infringement jury trials. He retired early as partner in Finnegan Henderson in 2003 in order to return to practice in his own firm, John Lowe, P.C., with a broader practice base. He is licensed in D.C., VA, MD, and NC, and is admitted to numerous federal courts and the Supreme Court of the United States.[/p][p]He has served as lead counsel in more than 100 jury trials taken to verdict, has been lead appellate counsel in over 20 appeals, and argued and won the case of Bigelow v. Virginia in the Supreme Court of the United States.[/p][p]He has taught trial advocacy since 1972 at Northwestern University School of Law and since 1981 at the University of Virginia School of Law.[/p]
