Mr. Johnson also has briefed and argued several cases in the lower federal and state appellate courts.  His practice spans a wide range of substantive areas, including constitutional law, the First Amendment, preemption, products liability, class actions, civil rights, labor and employment, telecommunications, environment, property rights, education, and religious institutions.

Mr. Johnson received a B.A. in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from St. Olaf College in 1991, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1995.
