Biography: 

MARK E. HADDAD chairs the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice Group in the Los Angeles office. He joined the firm’s Washington office in 1987, after serving as a law clerk to Associate Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., of the United States Supreme Court, and to the Honorable Louis H. Pollak of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has been resident in the Los Angeles office since 1999.

Mr. Haddad has briefed more than twenty cases and filed numerous cert petitions in the United States Supreme Court. He practices in appellate and trial courts and before federal and state agencies, handling matters involving a wide range of legal issues, including administrative law; antitrust law; constitutional law (due process, equal protection and first amendment); and intellectual property. Mr. Haddad has represented AT&T Corp. in numerous matters, including many involving the creation of competitive local telephone markets under the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Mr. Haddad co-chairs the Firm’s Committee on Assignment and Compensation of Associates, chairs the Committee on Professional Responsibility in the Los Angeles office, and serves on the Firm’s Accounting and Finance, and Pro Bono committees. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Town Hall-Los Angeles.
