Biography: 

Benjamin J. Fox is a partner at Morrison & Foerster, practicing in the Litigation Department and resident in the Los Angeles office. He is involved in a broad-ranging trial level and appellate practice, and has extensive experience in complex copyright, trademark, trade secret and patent disputes, securities fraud, First Amendment and class action litigation, among other areas of practice. He is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Consumer Class Action Litigation groups. His appellate experience includes matters in the First, Ninth, Tenth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, the California Supreme Court and various districts in the California Court of Appeals. He currently is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s appellate courts and state appellate judicial evaluation committees. He maintains an active pro bono practice, and received the ACLU’s Pro Bono Advocacy Award for his work on Williams v. State of California, a statewide class action challenging substandard conditions in California’s public schools. He joined Morrison & Foerster in 1997 following graduation from the UCLA School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.
